How Thycurm®different from turmeric?
The botanical name of Turmeric is Curcuma longa. It belongs to the same family as that of ginger and is native to India. Curcumin is the principle constituent of Turmeric. It also contains demethoxycurcumin, bismethoxycurcumin, and traces of volatile oils including tumerone, atlantone and zingiberone. How to use Thycrum®?
- The THYCURM® gummies must be kept in the mouth without chewing and should be sucked slowly for better efficacy.
- It is made up of a special formula wherein the pastille slowly dissolves in the mouth releasing the curcumin.
- Our buccal cavity (floor of the mouth) is made up of soft tissues and is rich in blood supply.
- Therefore, the curcumin absorbed from the buccal cavity directly enter the blood stream known as buccal absorption) and provide instant relief.
What are the advantages of buccal absorption?
Buccal absorption bypasses the absorption form the general gastrointestinal tract thereby giving very specific advantages such as instant action, minimal gastric side effects that we see with other medicines and retaining the therapeutic characteristics of the medicinal agent as it does not travel through the gastric route. For your information, most of the medicines that we consume lose their power by approximate 50% as they pass through the gastric mucosa.
What is the advantage of Thycurm® over other curcumin preparations?
To be able to derive the therapeutic benefits, the principle constituent of Turmeric “Curcumin” must reach the blood stream. When we orally consume Curcumin capsules they need to pass through the digestive system. The liver enzymes render Curcumin ineffective to almost 50 % of its ability and very negligible amount of Curcumin is then available for any therapeutic action. The available amount of Curcumin in the bloodstream is so small that in fact it cannot offer any health benefits. THYCURM® on the other hand allows the buccal absorption of almost 100% of the Curcumin as the digestive system is bypassed and thus quick availability of active Curcumin in blood stream provides instant relief.
